TCU will reportedly look to topple Texas Tech without its starting quarterback Saturday.

Horned Frogs head coach Gary Patterson said Thursday that Kenny Hill will not make the trip to take on the Red Raiders, according to Carlos Mendez of The Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Patterson did not clarify the reason for Hill staying behind, but two sources close to the team reportedly cited a concussion as the reason for his absence, according to Mendez.

Freshman quarterback Shawn Robinson is the likely candidate to get the nod for the Horned Frogs. It would be his fifth appearance of the season and first career start.

Strong safety Niko Small will also reportedly be held back from the trip due to a concussion.
