Jeff Long out as Arkansas athletic director

Jeff Long is out as Arkansas' athletic director, the school announced Wednesday, via Tyler Thomason of Fox 16. Julie Cromer Peoples will take over on an interim basis.
Arkansas is currently dead last in college football's SEC West division standings and quarterback Cole Kelley was suspended indefinitely Monday after he was arrested for driving while intoxicated and careless driving.
Long has been with the Razorbacks since 2008 and previously served as the athletic director of Pitt from 2003-2007.
This raises questions about the future of head coach Bret Bielema. Arkansas is 4-6 in 2017 and 1-5 in conference play, dropping Bielema's mark to 29-32 overall with the program.
