Ron Artest is back, baby.

The BIG3 announced Monday that Metta World Peace signed with the Killer 3s, and will serve as a player and co-captain under his former name, Ron Artest.

The 38-year-old, who legally changed his name in 2011, will play alongside Chauncey Billups and former Indiana Pacers teammate Stephen Jackson on the Killer 3s, who finished seventh out of eight teams in the inaugural BIG3 season.

He confirmed the news himself a few weeks ago, and said he'll also play with the New Orleans Gators of the new Global Mixed Gender Basketball League.

The 6-foot-6 small forward last suited up in the NBA last season for the Los Angeles Lakers. He played 17 seasons in the big leagues, making one All-Star appearance and winning a title with the Lakers in 2010.

The 2004 Defensive Player of the Year is the first of eight new co-captains to be named after the BIG3 expanded rosters.
