Chicago officially named host of 2020 All-Star weekend

After 32 years, NBA All-Star weekend will return to Chicago.

The league officially announced Friday that the Windy City will host the 2020 installment, scheduled for Feb. 14-16.

"Chicago is an iconic city with a storied basketball history," commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement. "We are thrilled to bring the NBA All-Star Game back."

The last time the festivities were held in Chicago was 1988, when hometown hero Michael Jordan won both the dunk contest and the game's MVP award. This season's game is scheduled for Los Angeles, while Charlotte will host the following year after being stripped of the 2017 weekend.
