The new WWE champion is simply Phenomenal.

A.J. Styles shocked the wrestling world Tuesday on "SmackDown Live" by defeating Jinder Mahal cleanly in the center of the ring after connecting with his signature springboard forearm to become a two-time WWE Champion.

As a result, the Survivor Series main event will now see Styles going one-on-one with "Monday Night Raw's" Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar, on Nov. 19 at Toyota Center in Houston.

Tuesday marked the first time in history that the WWE Championship changed hands outside of North America, with "SmackDown Live" emanating from Manchester, England.

Mahal held the gold for 170 days, with his reign beginning May 21 at Backlash after defeating Randy Orton.
