Watch: High school football player with cerebral palsy scores 80-yard TD

After years of dreaming about scoring a touchdown, Sepp Shirey finally got to experience the thrill during the final home game of his high school career.

Shirey, a senior at Atlee High School in Virginia, was born with cerebral palsy. The initial plan, according to Lane Casadonte of WTVR-TV, was for Shirey to carry the ball for a few yards before being tackled by two-hand touch. He ended up going 80 yards for the score as teammates and opposing players from Varina High School cheered him on.

Varina linebacker Taesean Crutchfield said he told his teammates to let Shirey run as far as he could.

"I looked in his eyes when he was running. I looked at him, I was clapping him on. I just wanted him to score because I knew it would be a good feeling for him."

Sepp's grandmother, Velma, made a surprise visit to Varina High School last week to thank the players.
