Les Miles hoping to land with team that has shot at national title

Les Miles wants to return to coaching and is hoping to do so in a big way.

The former LSU head coach sat down with Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports and discussed what type of program he is hoping to resume his coaching career with.

"I want a president, an athletic director who says, ‘OK, Coach, let’s go win a conference or national championship," Miles said. "What do you need? How can I help you? And know that I will take on the identity of the school I attend. That’s how I’ve always done it."

Miles went 114-34 with the Tigers, but was let go after a 2-2 start to the 2016 season. The 63-year-old didn't secure a new gig this offseason, though a few high-profile opportunities could be available for next year. Florida will be looking for a new head coach and the same can likely be said for Tennessee.
