Philippe Coutinho will be forced to watch Liverpool's match against Huddersfield Town from the sidelines after the Brazilian failed to overcome an abductor injury ahead of Saturday's contest.

Klopp revealed Friday that Coutinho had been held out of training the previous day after feeling discomfort. It was then confirmed shortly before Saturday's match at Anfield that the Brazilian will miss his fifth Premier League match of the season.

The team did not indicate a timetable for his return.

Meanwhile, Dejan Lovren was initially included in Klopp's team, but was replaced shortly before kick off due to an undisclosed injury. Ragnar Klavan was called in to replace the Croatian, while Ben Woodburn was added to Liverpool's bench.

Georginio Wijnaldum is back in the starting team after missing last week's loss to Tottenham with a knee injury.

Simon Mignolet was a surprise inclusion after reports suggested the pair could be benched after their poor performances in the 4-1 loss to Spurs.
