MLB's investigation into the Atlanta Braves and former general manager John Coppolella is expected to be resolved shortly, with an announcement on the results of the inquiry following the conclusion of the World Series, according to a report from Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.

Coppolella resigned from his position with the Braves in early October at the outset of the investigation into the potential circumvention of international signing rules.

Shortly thereafter, MLB began investigating the signing of Braves top prospect Kevin Maitan, who is from Venezuela.

Since then, the league has interviewed Braves president John Hart on multiple occasions as well as many other front-office members, according to Heyman.

Hart's contract with the Braves expires at the end of the 2017 season, and the president was expected to return. However, the investigation could potentially force an end to his tenure with the club as well.
