The second edition of The Best FIFA Football Awards kicked off at the London Palladium on Monday, and there was no shortage of stars on the green carpet.

From movie stars, musicians, and television presenters, to - of course - the greatest footballers on the planet, the venue was crammed with big names.

Here are the best pictures from the build-up to the ceremony in England's capital:

The winner of last year's Best FIFA Men's Coach award, Claudio Ranieri, arrives.

The party begins: Diego Maradona strolls in.

The original Ronaldo is still popular with the paparazzi.

British rockers Kasabian will provide the entertainment.

Swansea City fan Catherine Zeta-Jones is a proud participant of the show.

Out of work but not out of style, Carlo Ancelotti's looking smooth.

Real Madrid full-back Marcelo and his kids.

Thumbs up from Andres Iniesta.

Lionel Messi and his wife, Antonella Roccuzzo.

Messi encounters an excitable fan.

Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane is popular with the local supporters.

Dani Alves is donning daring threads, as usual.

Looking dapper: Cristiano Ronaldo emerges to screams.

Fashionably late: Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar, the most expensive footballer on the planet, is one of the last to arrive.
