AP Poll: Notre Dame cracks top 10, Michigan falls out of top 25

Matt Cashore / USA TODAY Sports

Notre Dame has cracked the top 10 in the latest AP Poll thanks to a dominant win over USC, while Michigan fell out of the top 25 entirely after being routed by Penn State.

The top eight remained entirely unchanged, as Alabama is still firmly entrenched in the top spot, with Penn State, Georgia, and TCU right behind.

Despite defeating Kansas State on Saturday, Oklahoma slipped one spot to 10th. LSU's third straight victory was only good enough to bump it up one place to 23 and the Trojans tumbled down 10 spots to No. 21.

Iowa State enters the poll at 25 in place of the Wolverines after winning four of its past five games. It's the first time the Cyclones have been ranked since 2005.
