Twitter reacts to Notre Dame's 1st-half thrashing of USC
USC authored a rather ugly performance in the latest chapter of the Trojans-Fighting Irish rivalry Saturday, as Notre Dame captured this year's encounter by a final score of 49-19.
It was the first half, though, where USC was hit the hardest. The Irish went into the break leading 28-0, leading to a Twitter frenzy over the lopsided results.
Notre Dame might really be back this time.

Notre Dame has run for 190 yards, USC minus-4.
Notre Dame is beating USC so badly tonight that the Trojans might not even qualify for "signature win" status.

Most of us underestimated Notre Dame, but football is about what you do with opportunities. The Irish are excellent at maximizing theirs.

Notre Dame led USC 24-0 in 1974 and USC won by 31. This one doesn't have quite the same feel.

28-0 over USC. Bout time to give Notre Dame some love in #CFBplayoff picture

#USC shouldn't be outclassed like this vs. any opponent, too talented. Serious questions need to be asked about this program. Embarrassing.
