Swinney to speak to Clemson players after boxing video surfaces

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney will speak to his team about a video that surfaced Wednesday which appeared to show two Tigers players boxing.

"We're aware of the video that was posted online. Coach Swinney is addressing it with the team this afternoon," assistant athletic director Joe Galbraith said in a statement, according to Matt Connolly of The State.

It's unclear who the players were.

This wouldn't be the first team a major college football program dealt with a video of teammates fighting, whether real or horseplay. A year ago, a video including then-LSU running back Leonard Fournette surfaced that appeared to show Fournette fighting with a teammate in a parking lot. He later called it slap boxing.

The defending national champs are on a bye this week after dropping their first game of the season last Friday to Syracuse.
