Orgeron sees national championship in LSU's future

Some disappointing losses this season haven't dampened Ed Orgeron's spirits about the future.

After watching his team rally from 20 points down to top Auburn, the LSU head coach believes his group can eventually win a national title.

"Our team showed true grit, and if we stick together, I do believe in our tenure we will win a championship," Orgeron said on his radio show, according to Alex Hickey of SEC Country.

The national title likely won't be coming this year, though, as the Tigers have already dropped two games in 2017, including an embarrassing home loss to Troy. Orgeron believes his upcoming recruiting classes hold the key to a championship.

"With our recruiting classes we are going to get and the linemen we’re going to get, I do believe a national championship is in our future," Orgeron said.

LSU goes for its third-straight win Saturday when it travels to Ole Miss.
