South Carolina's Muschamp isn't ruling out Deebo Samuel's return

South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp had some positive news Wednesday regarding the status of one of the Gamecocks' biggest stars.

Muschamp talked about injured wide receiver Deebo Samuel during his weekly "Carolina Calls" radio show, and didn't rule out the possibility of the junior returning to the gridiron this season, according to Josh Kendall of The State.

"Deebo Samuel, you are possibly looking at the end of the season, getting him some time, but at the end of the day that's going to be a medical decision," Muschamp said.

Samuel has been out of action since suffering what was initially reported as a broken leg against Kentucky on Sept. 16. The wide receiver later refuted that diagnosis, calling the injury a low ankle fracture and vowing to return in five-to-six weeks.

Despite missing the last four games, Samuel remains tied for the team lead in receiving touchdowns at three with fellow wideout OrTre Smith.
