Dodgers' Taylor continues breakout year by making postseason history

Utility man and breakout Los Angeles Dodgers leadoff hitter Chris Taylor is now in a club of his own.

With his solo shot in the third inning of Tuesday's Game 3, Taylor became the first player in MLB history to hit a home run as an outfielder and as a shortstop in the same postseason, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

Taylor, playing shortstop during Game 3 of the National League Championship Series, hit a home run in Game 1 against the Chicago Cubs while playing center field.

For the 27-year-old Taylor, it puts an exclamation point on an incredible year in which he slashed .288/.354/.496 across 140 games for the best club in baseball while playing center field, left field, second base, shortstop, and third base at various times.
