Altuve cruises to win AL MVP
Not a month after hoisting the World Series trophy, Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve was voted the 2017 American League Most Valuable by the Baseball Writers' Association of America, beating out New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge and Jose Ramirez of the Cleveland Indians.
Altuve joins Jeff Bagwell as the only Astros to be named MVP, and the first to do so since the team moved to the American League for the 2013 season.
