Washington loses star tackle Trey Adams for season with torn ACL

As if Saturday's loss to Arizona State wasn't enough of a gutshot for No. 12 Washington, the Huskies will now have to play out the rest of the season without one of their star players.

Head coach Chris Petersen announced Monday that left tackle Trey Adams suffered a torn ACL in his right knee during Saturday's game and will be sidelined for the remainder of the campaign, according to Adam Jude of The Seattle Times.

Adams, a first-team All-Pac-12 selection last season, has been lauded by many to be a potential first-round draft pick in this year's NFL draft should he choose to declare. That status will almost surely be in question following his injury.

Petersen also confirmed defensive back Jordan Miller will miss the remainder of the season after breaking his ankle in one of the final plays of Saturday's game.
