Gutsy Lazio condemns Juventus to rare home defeat

Juventus' 57-match home unbeaten streak came to an abrupt end Saturday as Lazio mounted a stunning second-half comeback to secure a 2-1 win.

Ciro Immobile scored his 14th and 15th goals in all competitions and goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha saved a late Paulo Dybala penalty to wreak havoc at the Allianz Stadium.

The Bianconeri last tasted defeat in Turin in an August 2015 fixture against Udinese.

Former Torino striker Immobile canceled out Douglas Costa's opener in the 47th minute with a fine side-footed finish and doubled the visitor's lead after converting a penalty.

Juventus was caught off guard by Lazio's sudden change in tempo. Andrea Barzagli struggled to keep up with Luis Alberto and Immobile as they combined on the counter-attack.

Hope arrived for the home side deep into stoppage time. Substitute Patric's two-footed challenge on Federico Bernardeschi resulted in a late penalty following consultation with the Video Assistant Referee, but Strakosha denied Dybala from the spot to wrap up a famous victory.
