Goldberg appearing on 'The Goldbergs'
In a move that was inevitable, former WWE Universal Champion Bill Goldberg has landed a guest role on "The Goldbergs."
Goldberg will make his first appearance on the ABC sitcom in an episode fittingly titled "Goldberg on The Goldbergs," which airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET. He portrays the brother of high school gym teacher and coach Rick Mellor, played by Bryan Callen.

"I think the best part was I was able to inject and infuse most, if not all, of the sayings coaches throughout my entire career used to utter or yell at me," Goldberg, who played football at Georgia, told TV Insider's Scott Fishman. "It was kind of an homage of all the people who turned me into Goldberg throughout the years. It was really cool to yell and scream like they did to me. I was laughing the whole time."
John Cena has impressed me with his comedic chops, but tomorrow you all will see @Goldberg is a legit comedic genius. He's in multi eps now! pic.twitter.com/6JaNLxNLPj
