Report: Bucks discussed dumping Henson, Teletovic

The Milwaukee Bucks are unsurprisingly trying to offload two hefty and unproductive contracts off their books.

Milwaukee has held discussions on dumping center John Henson and power forward Mirza Teletovic, but have found few quality offers, sources told ESPN's Zach Lowe.

The bench combination of Teletovic and Henson are owed a combined $53 million in guaranteed money over the next three seasons. Given that neither player is a lock to even secure a consistent rotation spot going into the season, it makes perfect sense that the Bucks would like to move on from their contracts.

Having some additional financial flexibility would also help in the Bucks' bid to lock up former No. 2 overall pick Jabari Parker to a rookie-scale extension. Parker remains out until the All-Star break, but he's presumably a piece that the Bucks would like to keep long-term.

Milwaukee is currently owes $130 million to its players for the upcoming 2017-18 season, which puts them on-pace to pay the luxury tax for a side that falls way short of title contention.
