Pitt's Narduzzi would 'never' change OC Canada's schemes

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron has come under fire for changing offensive coordinator Matt Canada's offensive schemes prior to the Tigers' loss to Troy, and one of Canada's former bosses is in staunch disagreement with the idea.

Pittsburgh head coach Pat Narduzzi was asked Thursday if he ever attempted to step in and change Canada's system while the latter was offensive coordinator for the Panthers. Narduzzi said he would "never do that to an offensive coordinator," according to Brian Batko of The Post-Gazette.

LSU's offensive struggles, along with Orgeron's reign over the program, has been the talk of college football since the Tigers' shocking loss to the Trojans, and a perceived disconnect between Orgeron and Canada has raised questions about whether the Tigers will be able to turn things around in time to save their season.

Canada is in his first year as LSU's offensive coordinator after spending last year at Pittsburgh. Canada's efforts last season earned him a nomination for the Broyles award, handed out to the top assistant coach in college football.
