Yankees brilliantly troll Indians with LeBron picture

New York Yankees - Twitter

This cuts deep.

Ahead of Game 1 of the American League Division Series between the New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians on Thursday, the Bronx Bombers executed a troll job fit for a king.

The picture, which shows LeBron James proudly supporting New York, was snapped exactly 10 years ago, when James wore a Yankees hat in Cleveland during Game 2 of the 2007 ALDS.

It caused controversy among Indians and Cleveland Cavaliers fans, who chastised James for promoting the Yankees at Jacobs Field months after the San Antonio Spurs swept the Cavs in the NBA Finals.

James left the Cavaliers in 2010 to join the Miami Heat, only to return to Cleveland in 2014. He's made amends in Ohio by showing support for the Indians during their World Series run last season.
