With the Atlanta Braves' front office in flux, the team is expected to make coaching staff changes this week, according to MLB.com's Mark Bowman, but Brian Snitker apparently won't be among them.

Atlanta will pick up the 2018 option on Snitker's contract, reports USA Today's Bob Nightengale.

The 61-year-old has been with the organization for more than four decades and said Sunday he hoped to return to a Braves club that finished a disappointing 72-90.

''I'm proud of what I've accomplished over the last 42 years,'' Snitker said, according to The Associated Press.

''If it's still continue to manage this team, fine,'' he said. ''I'm not going to retire. I enjoy the game. I enjoy doing all this in whatever capacity.''

Snitker took over as manager in May 2016 following the dismissal of Fredi Gonzalez and has a 131-155 record with the Braves since.

General manager John Coppolella and Gordon Blakeley, special assistant to the GM, both resigned Monday amid an MLB investigation into the organization's breach of rules surrounding the international players market.
