The PGA Tour didn't disappoint in 2016-17.
The season was filled with unbelievable rounds, great head-to-head battles, jaw-dropping shots, and wild finishes.
Here are the five best tournaments from the 2016-17 campaign.
The Open Championship
Jordan Spieth was trying very hard to duplicate his 2016 Masters meltdown at Royal Birkdale on Sunday, coughing up a three-shot 54-hole lead to Matt Kuchar by the turn. At the 13th tee, Spieth blasted his drive 70 yards off line, but managed to grind out a bogey, only trailing Kuchar by one shot. The Texan rebounded with a birdie-eagle-birdie-birdie-par stretch on his next five holes to win the Claret Jug by three shots, snagging the third leg of the career grand slam.
Travelers Championship
One start before his victory in the 146th Open Championship, Spieth provided another memorable Sunday on the links. The Texan went wire-to-wire for his second win of the season, but required an extra hole and a wacky finish to accomplish the feat. Spieth needed to get up-and-down from a greenside bunker at the 72nd hole in regulation to force a playoff with Daniel Berger - which he did. Just 20 minutes later, Spieth holed it from the same bunker for birdie, tossed his club into the air, and then went crazy with his caddie, Michael Greller.
The Masters
Sergio Garcia came into the 81st Masters as the best active player never to have won a major title in his career. Garcia overcame a two-shot deficit with six holes to play Sunday at Augusta to force a playoff with Justin Rose. On the first playoff hole, the 37-year-old Spaniard rolled in a birdie and captured his first major win on what would've been Seve Ballesteros' 60th birthday.
The Northern Trust
It was a two-horse race entering Sunday on Long Island, with Dustin Johnson and Spieth separating themselves from the rest of the field. Spieth jumped out to a five-shot lead with 12 holes remaining in the tournament, but Johnson rallied to tie the world No. 3 thanks to a wild 18-foot par putt at the 72nd hole. In overtime, Johnson vaporized a 341-yard tee shot, leading to a birdie and the victory.
Zurich Classic of New Orleans
Cameron Smith and Jonas Blixt were in good position to win the Zurich Classic on the 72nd hole before Kevin Kisner stunned the duo with an unbelievable chip-in eagle that forced a Monday playoff. Smith and Blixt eventually claimed the title on the fourth playoff hole, winning the first PGA Tour team event in 36 years.
