Atlanta Hawks point guard Dennis Schroder was reportedly arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge early Friday morning, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Schroder was later reportedly released on bail.
Schroder and three associates engaged in a "verbal heated exchange" with another man outside of a Georgia hookah bar around 2 a.m. Friday morning, per a police report obtained TMZ Sports.
After Schroder shoved the man with his fist, the victim "was struck by hands and feet" by Schroder's group.
Last season, Schroder averaged 17.9 points, 6.3 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game. The 24-year-old is set to begin the first season of a four-year, $70-million contract extension.
