It was only a few days ago that center Enes Kanter was sticking up for the Oklahoma City Thunder organization on Twitter, referring to the team as his "family" following negative comments from ex-teammate Kevin Durant.

Now, in a cruel twist of fate, Kanter finds himself on the way out after being dealt to the New York Knicks in a package for All-Star Carmelo Anthony.

After spending roughly two-and-a-half-seasons in Oklahoma City, Kanter filmed a video message Saturday afternoon for the Thunder, thanking management, the players, the state, and its fans for all they've done for him.

Kanter also asked the Thunder to "please beat the (Golden State) Warriors," perhaps referring to some residual bitterness from the blown 3-1 series lead in the 2016 Western Conference finals.
