Florida State's Fisher worried about rust after 3-week layoff

Florida State hasn't played since Sept. 2, so head coach Jimbo Fisher has little clue what to expect when the Seminoles take the field Saturday against NC State.

"You worry about rust," Fisher told reporters Wednesday, according to Wayne McGahee of the Tallahassee Democrat.

After falling to Alabama to open the season, Florida State was forced to call off its game with Louisiana-Monroe due to Hurricane Irma, and then postpone its affair with Miami the following week for the same reason.

"Nobody's been through this," Fisher said of what will be a three-week layoff by the time Florida State kicks off against the Wolfpack, according to Andrea Adelson of ESPN. "They've never been 21 days without playing before."

Despite owning an 0-1 record, the Seminoles are still ranked 12th in the AP Poll.
