Lillard, aka Dame D.O.L.L.A., previews new single featuring Lil Wayne

With NBA players starting to ramp up their preparations for the season, Damian Lillard is looking to put a bow on his offseason project.

The Trail Blazers star, also known as rapper Dame D.O.L.L.A., is set to release his new project "CONFIRMED" Oct. 6.

But before the entire album drops next month, the multi-threat entertainer gave fans a taste of what's to come with a major collaboration with rap royalty, teaming up with Lil Wayne on his lead single "Run It Up," which was previewed on "Sway in the Morning" on Wednesday.

Lillard's debut album, "The Letter O," was released a year ago and garnered acclaim atypical for an athlete-turned-rapper project. That album also featured a guest spot by Lil Wayne, as well as Jamie Foxx, and reached 119 on the Billboard 200.
