Beckham had no setbacks with ankle after season debut
After getting the OK to make his season debut Monday night against the Detroit Lions, Odell Beckham Jr. made it through the contest without any setbacks to his injured ankle.
The New York Giants receiver was used sparingly in a 24-10 loss as he continues to recover from a sprained ankle suffered in the preseason.
"I felt alright. I don't really know what percentage. Still just that last little bit to gain, but it will come," Beckham said after the game.
Playing on a pitch count, he hauled in four passes for 36 yards.
Most importantly, he didn't re-aggravate his injury.
"I didn't have any setbacks today," he said, "so I'll be able to be proactive and stay on it and get as close to 100 percent as you can."
He won't have a full week to recoup, as the Giants next play Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
