Giants' Jenkins, Goodson among inactives vs. Lions

Bruce Kluckhohn / USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants will be without top cornerback Janoris Jenkins against the Detroit Lions on Monday night due to ankle and hand injuries.

Without Jenkins, the Giants may turn to Ross Cockrell, who was acquired via trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers, to join cornerbacks Eli Apple and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie as a starter.

Starting linebackers B.J. Goodson (shin) and Keenan Robinson (concussion) were also deemed inactive with injuries. Goodson was a major contributor in Week 1, making 18 tackles against the Dallas Cowboys while Robinson has yet to play this season. Rookie Calvin Munson will take Goodson's spot in the starting lineup.

Quarterback Davis Webb, running back Wayne Gallman, tight end Matt LaCosse, and defensive end Avery Moss are also inactive.
