Florida's Franks focused on Kentucky: Hail Mary is 'over now'

Feleipe Franks created the best highlight of the college football campaign so far, but he doesn't want it to define his season.

The Florida quarterback is trying to focus on this week's game against Kentucky after his last-second Hail Mary took down rival Tennessee.

"You want to keep a level head," Franks said Monday, according to Ryan Young of SEC Country. "Especially at the quarterback position, you never want to be too high or too low if things aren’t going your way because that’s part of the game. But definitely off a big win like that, we enjoyed it Saturday and Sunday and now it’s back on Monday and we’ve got to prepare for Kentucky.

"We’ve got to beat them Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, so we can have fun on Saturday. I think we enjoyed the win. It’s over now and we’re going to prepare for next week."

Franks was still the talk of campus Monday morning, though, and even received a trophy in history class. Franks' professor generally hands out trophies to those who contribute in discussions, but the Gators signal-caller was awarded it for a different reason.

"He just gave me the trophy out of nowhere today to start off the class," Franks said. "That was kind of funny. He just told me, 'Good throw.' That’s kind of how class started."
