Rooney's court sketch ruthlessly mocked on Twitter

The internet already had enough material to ridicule Wayne Rooney for years, but more fuel was added to the flames when a sketch of the Everton star emerged from his court hearing for drink-driving.
Similar to the treatment of the questionable Cristiano Ronaldo bust, Rooney's "likeness" was at the centre of jokes and memes, with some suggesting the drawing was intended as punishment to go along with the two-year driving ban he received Monday.
Whether Rooney was compared to a stereotypical British gangster or Popeye, there was no shortage of jokes once the image went public:
Others compared the sketch to the infamous drawing of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
