Cleveland Browns wide receiver Corey Coleman will undergo surgery Monday for a broken right hand, head coach Hue Jackson announced.

The Browns hope Coleman can return at some point this season. He'll reportedly be out six-to-eight weeks while he recovers, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, making him a candidate to go on IR.

It's the same hand Coleman broke last season, limiting his rookie campaign to 10 games, though he broke a different bone this time.

Coleman caught just 1-of-7 targets for 9 yards Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.

With wide receiver Kenny Britt struggling mightily to begin the season, Rashard Higgins moved up the depth chart following Coleman's injury. He finished Sunday's game with seven receptions on 11 targets for a team-high 95 yards.
