Real Madrid could have Toni Kroos back in the fold for a midweek match against Real Betis, as the Germany international returned to training Monday after being sidelined with an injury over the weekend.

A muscle problem forced Kroos to miss Sunday's match against Real Sociedad, but Real Madrid didn't skip a beat and managed to win its first match in three contests with a 3-1 victory away from home.

The 29-year-old seems to have overcome the knock in time to participate in regular training with his teammates ahead of Wednesday's match at the Santiago Bernabeu, according to Marca.

Wednesday's encounter is also expected to mark the return of Cristiano Ronaldo, who is eligible to play after serving a five-match ban.

Marcelo, who is fresh off signing a new five-year contract, will also be available after missing Sunday's win due to a suspension for a red card he picked up against Levante.

Meanwhile, Theo Hernandez may be unavailable to face Betis due to a shoulder injury he picked up in the final stages of Real Madrid's win over Sociedad.
