Browns' Jackson envious of Indians' win streak
One Cleveland team can't buy a win, while another just won't lose.
The NFL's Browns flirted with a winless season last year, while MLB's Indians are currently riding a record 22-game winning streak.
Browns head coach Hue Jackson would gladly trade places with his baseball brethren. In fact, he'd settle for just a portion of their success.
"I will take half of that right now," Jackson said of the Indians' 22-game string, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
"They've done an outstanding job and my hat is off to them."
Through 17 games in charge of the Browns, Jackson has a record of 1-16. The team is off to an 0-1 start in the 2017 season and will face a division rival in the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2.
Jackson can only hope some of the success the Indians and the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers have enjoyed of late will rub off on the NFL franchise before long.
"The city is rockin' now, there is no question," Jackson said. "We have had the Cavs, we have the Indians. Come on, Browns. Let's go."
