Jesse Taylor's route to redemption has encountered its first roadblock.

The "TUF: Redemption" winner has been flagged by the USADA for a potential doping violation attributed to an out-of-competition sample collected Aug. 22, the UFC announced Wednesday, although the substance responsible for the failed test was not specified.

Taylor has been provisionally suspended and pulled from his November bout with welterweight Belal Muhammad at UFC Fight Night 121 in Sydney as a result. The promotion is currently seeking a replacement opponent for Muhammad.

Over 30 fights and nine years after his antics got him booted from the "TUF 7" finale, the 34-year-old Taylor finally atoned by winning this year's tourney with a second-round submission of Dhiego Lima in the July finale. His ill-fated date with Muhammad would have been the second of his sophomore stint in the UFC and third overall.
