Watch: Cyclist goes flying after handlebars break off during race

French cyclist Maxime Roger was in the midst of a time trial at the Tour de Moselle on Saturday when his handlebars snapped off, sending him flying onto the pavement.

Roger was traveling at around 36 mph and sitting in second place in the general classification, but was forced to abandon the race after the crash, according to Deadspin's Patrick Redford. Fortunately, he avoided long-term damage.
