Cormier names Oezdemir as preferred next title challenger

Daniel Cormier is moving on from Jon Jones.
The newly reinstated UFC light heavyweight champion tweeted Thursday that the next man he wants to defend his title against is Volkan Oezdemir, apparently at the behest of UFC fans.

Oezdemir has exploded onto the UFC scene this year. He's won his first three fights with the promotion, the latest two via first-round knockout in spectacular fashion.
With Jones out fo the picture for the foreseeable future, Cormier's other main option for his next title defense was Alexander Gustafsson, whom the champ beat via split decision at UFC 192 in October 2015.
