Cyborg not interested in Rousey fight

Cris Cyborg has spent years pushing to face Ronda Rousey in the UFC Octagon - but now, the newly crowned women's featherweight champion appears to have moved on.

Rousey's coach, Edmond Tarverdyan, revealed Monday that his client's chances of a UFC return are 50-50, but if she did opt for one more fight, his preference would be the Brazilian.

However, Cyborg doesn't believe this version of Rousey is worth her time.

"If Ronda wants to come back for a fight," Cyborg said, according to MMAFighting.com's Guilherme Cruz, "I believe it's better for her to fight Miesha Tate. I'm in another stage of my career. I wanted to fight Ronda when she was psychologically well and confident."

While Cyborg is uninterested in defending her belt against Rousey, she floated the idea of a showdown within a different kind of ring.

"Now, if she wants to make a good fight for the fans, we can make it at WWE," she said. "It would fit perfectly (for her) to go to Hollywood, and for me would be another challenge in my career.

"And something brilliant, her coach would fit perfectly in her corner in WWE, he's nothing but a joke."

Cyborg's first title defense should be against Holly Holm, who famously beat Rousey at 193, though nothing is confirmed outside of a December target date.
