Florida Atlantic's De'Andre Johnson hospitalized for 'scary medical condition'

Florida Atlantic quarterback De'Andre Johnson will be out indefinitely after he was hospitalized last week for a "scary medical condition," Owls head coach Lane Kiffin confirmed during a conference call Monday, according to Jake Elman of The Palm Beach Post.

Johnson, known for his time at East Mississippi Community College and the hit TV show "Last Chance U," posted videos of himself in bed at Boca Raton Regional Hospital on Friday, according to Elman, but Kiffin did not provide any specific details as to what caused the hospitalization.

Kiffin added it's too early to tell at this point whether or not Johnson will be able to return this season.

Johnson briefly appeared in the Owls' season opener against Navy, completing 2-of-3 passes for 5 yards, coughing up an interception in the process. Johnson also added 4 carries for 31 yards on the ground.
