Jerry Jones says hold on Elliott's suspension inspired Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones basked in his team's 19-3 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday night, and was particularly invigorated by Ezekiel Elliott's return after his six-game suspension was placed on hold by a U.S. District Court Judge.

Elliott was available to play against New York after Judge Amos Mazzant III ruled that the running back didn't receive a fundamentally fair trial during his appeal process.

Jones said he knew Elliott's return would give the Cowboys a psychological boost.

"I know that I felt when we did get that decision it was going to be an inspiration to the team," Jones said, via Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News.

Elliott rushed for 104 yards on 24 carries, adding five receptions for 36 yards as the Cowboys disposed of the Giants with relative ease.
