Jason Witten's incredible resume added another feat on Sunday as the veteran tight end broke the Dallas Cowboys career receiving-yards record during the second quarter of the season-opening contest versus the New York Giants.
Witten entered his 15th season with the Cowboys just 17 yards shy of Michael Irvin's record, and passed the Hall of Fame receiver's mark of 11,904 with his second catch of Sunday's game.
The 35-year-old, who already passed Irvin for career receptions with the franchise five years ago, is now just over 3,200 yards shy of Tony Gonzalez's mark for the most receiving yards by a tight end in league history.
