Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson's X-rays on his wrist came back negative and the All-Pro will undergo an MRI on Monday, a source told Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Johnson suffered a sprain to the wrist.

Johnson was taken to the locker room near the end of the third quarter Sunday against the Detroit Lions after being injured attempting to make a catch downfield.

Johnson finished with 23 yards on 11 carries, along with six receptions for 68 yards.

If Johnson misses any time, it would be a devastating development for the Cardinals, who operate both their running and passing game around his strengths.
