Report: Grizzlies, Green working toward deal

A deal between the Memphis Grizzlies and restricted free agent JaMychal Green "will be done," The Commercial Appeal's Ronald Tillery told Sports 56.

Green's status has remained outstanding all summer, and Tillery suggests the contract may end up being a two-year deal.

Given the turnover on the Grizzlies' roster - Zach Randolph and Vince Carter both departed via free agency - re-signing Green should remain a priority for the organization. The power forward has not received an offer sheet from elsewhere, although the league-wide market for restricted free agents has appeared quite limited this summer.

Green hit career highs in points (8.9), rebounds (7.1), and 3-point percentage (37.9) in 2016-17.
