Sigurdsson scores brace as Iceland, Turkey win in Group I logjam

Courtesy of Turkey's 1-0 victory over Croatia and Iceland's 2-0 home result against Ukraine, World Cup qualifying Group I has a bottleneck at the top with two matches to play.

Cenk Tosun's 75th-minute goal was enough for the host Turkey to vault Ukraine for third spot, while Gylfi Sigurdsson's brace Tuesday in Reykjavik saw Iceland draw level with Croatia on 16 points to sit second by virtue of an inferior goal differential.

With two matches to play, four nations are separated by two points and five goals, with first place guaranteed of a berth in Russia and the runner-up a play-off spot.
