Look: Mickelson shanks bunker shot; makes double-bogey 6 in Boston

Phil Mickelson is one of the best short-game players in the world, but he briefly looked like a weekend hacker Monday at the Dell Technologies Championship.

Mickelson's second shot at the par-4 14th found the greenside bunker, leaving a relatively easy up-and-down from the sand. However, the 47-year-old completely shanked his ball sideways into the rough.

After chipping to 24 feet, the five-time major champion would two-putt for a double-bogey six, dropping him to 10-under par for the championship.

Golf fans took notice of Mickelson's shank and chimed in on Twitter:
