Texas' Tom Herman: 'We have not arrived'

Tom Herman wants you to know Texas still has a long way to go.

The Longhorns head coach spoke to the media Monday after his team's disappointing loss to Maryland and noted the fans felt a "heavy dose of reality."

"We have not arrived," Herman added.

Texas fell to the Terrapins at home, giving up 51 points in the process as Longhorn fans had visions of the past three losing seasons under Charlie Strong.

Herman will get another crack at his first win with the program next week against San Jose State, and stressed the team can't be afraid to fail.
