Mickelson in contention at TPC Boston with 2nd-round 67

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Phil Mickelson is trying to end his 2017 season with a bang.

Lefty was on fire Saturday at TPC Boston, carding a solid 4-under par, leaving him in a tie for third place.

Mickelson was clearly feeling it Saturday, but especially on the back nine, as the five-time major winner only played one hole over par, with a bogey on the par-4 12th.

Mickelson currently sits two shots back of leader Jon Rahm, who enters Sunday's third round at 8-under par for the tournament.
