Watch: Hoskins ties Phillies record with HR in 5th straight game

We're going to run out of superlatives for Rhys Hoskins at the rate he's crushing baseballs.

For the fifth consecutive game, the Philadelphia Phillies rookie slugger blasted a home run, tying a franchise record. He joins the likes of Dick Allen, Mike Schmidt, Bobby Abreu, and Chase Utley (who did it twice in 2008) as the only Phillies to ever do this, courtesy of Baseball-Reference. That's good company.

On Saturday, Hoskins became the first player to ever reach 10 dingers before his 20th career game. Now he's the first to reach 11 in that span, as Sunday was only the 18th game of his young career. Sunday's blast was also his eighth in his last nine games

His home run off Chicago Cubs reliever Koji Uehara was the icing on the Phillies' victory cake, as well. They took Sunday's series clincher by a score of 6-3.
